CHTHONIC SEEDIQ BALE REVIEW
This album is made in memory of the Wushe incident, the biggest and the last rebellion against Japanese colonial forces in Taiwan, resulting in a massacre of both Japanese people and Seediq tribespeople in 1930. First part of the Souls Reposed Trilogy.
For the English version, parts of the lyrics are translated and parts remain in Chinese and Japanese.
Produced by ChthoniC, Jan Borsing.
Videos have been made for "Progeny of Rmdaxtasing", "Indigenous Laceration" and "Quasi Putrefaction".
The U.S. release from 2006 contains the videos for "Indigenous Laceration" and "Quasi Putrefaction", as well as a live video for "Bloody Gaya Fulfilled".
Re-released by Trinity Records Hong Kong on March 9, 2007.
Sandee Chan is a well known pop/alternative singer-songwriter and producer in Taiwan. She and session drummer Reno Killerich are not credited on the English-language version of "Seediq Bale".
